Integrity means complying with laws, procedures, and workplace policies, as well as demonstrating honesty, fairness, and respect.

Growth of Government and Public Administration Career Cluster

Virginia has a growing population and is close to Washington, D.C. Careers in the Government and Public Administration cluster will probably grow more in the Commonwealth of Virginia than they will in other areas of the country. From now until 2024, jobs in the Government and Public Administration cluster are expected to grow by 9% in Virginia. Experts estimate that there will be a total of 33,500 government and public administration employees in Virginia by 2024.

Clubs and Organizations

If the Government and Public Administration Career Cluster interests you, there are many clubs and organizations that you can join to get started. To build your leadership skills, you can run for office in the school’s student government. If you are more interested in Foreign Service, make sure to join a language club, like Spanish, French, Chinese, or many more. Joining your school’s JROTC would help prepare you for military service.
