Module 1: Expressions

Student solving an algebra problem on a white board with a blue marker

During your math studies, you have encountered many different types of expressions, some verbal, such as “the product of three and a number,” and some algebraic, such as “x + 7y.” In this module, you will become an expert on translating expressions from verbal to algebraic and vice-versa. You will also evaluate expressions for given replacement values.
