Introduction to Topic 12.1 - Graphs of Trigonometric Functions
In this topic you will learn to identify the essential graphing behavior and characteristics of the trigonometric functions. In addition to the familiar function characteristics of domain, range, minimums and maximums, and vertical asymptotes, you will learn new concepts, such as amplitude and period.
Essential Questions: How do you identify and graph the amplitude, period, phase shift , and vertical shift of a trigonometric function? What are the restrictions on the domains of the inverse trigonometric functions and how do you use those restrictions to graph and determine values of the inverse trigonometric functions?
