Sometimes when factoring quadratic functions, the methods we have reviewed and practiced may not work. You may recall from Algebra I that these types of quadratic functions were called “prime”, meaning that there are no factors other than 1 and the function itself. In the next lesson, we will review a tool to help us find the zeros of prime quadratic functions – the quadratic formula.
