In this course, you have used four forms to express algebraic functions: tables of values, graphs, written descriptions, and rules, or the equations of functions. You can use a function’s rule to input a domain element and calculate the corresponding function value.

In this topic, you will learn to write a rule describing the pattern in an ordered set of values. This rule is called a recursion formula.
