Molecule Travel Blog
In this module, you learned quite a bit about cells. You know that molecules are produced in the cell, or travel into the cell, and are involved in the many processes such as the production of oxygen, carbon dioxide, ATP, and glucose. Without molecules entering and exiting cells, the cells could not survive.
For this assignment, pretend that you are a molecule traveling into a cell or produced inside of a cell. Your job is to record your travels through a travel blog, or web log. A blog is an online journal, which allows authors to create entries detailing different topics.
Your molecule travel blog should meet the following criteria:
Each blog entry should include three to four facts about the associated topic, along with expressive words to describe your adventure. Your blog should be creative, informative, accurate, and well-organized. Before you begin, access the Travel of a Molecule through a Cell Rubric to make sure that you include all of the items required for full credit. You will need to use resources outside of this course to complete this assignment, so please submit a Works Cited document with your assignment submission. If you need assistance, visit the Developmental Module for information on citing any resources that you use.
Options to create your blog include the following:
Reflection
Once you have completed your travel blog, take a few minutes to consider the following questions. Why is it important to understand the needs of cells and how cells meet these needs? In what way do you think you might use this information in the future? In a digital document, compose four to five sentences responding to these questions.
Once you have completed your blog entries and reflection, please submit your work to the dropbox.
