In this module, you will learn the basics of classification and how it all began with a man named Carolus Linnaeus. He developed a system of taxonomy and a naming system for organisms called binomial nomenclature. You will be able to understand and analyze cladograms and dichotomous keys, and you will even construct one of your own using nearby specimens. You will take a look at how species are identified, including the way they are commonly classified using the most up-to-date technology into the three domains and six kingdoms.
