Not all information is useful, however, or even helpful. You need to learn how to make the research process work for you and how to avoid bad information.

This module focuses on the techniques, standards, and guidelines associated with research set forth by the Modern Language Association, or MLA. In this module, you will learn best practices for searching the Internet for information, as well as how to organize that information and make it work for your final product. You will also learn what constitutes plagiarism and how to avoid it. In this modules grammar topic, you will explore using the active and passive voices to improve your writing.
