Module 3: Une journée à l’école

Sunset in France

Although schools may look different throughout the United States, what students bring to school is often similar. The same is true for schools in France. Throughout this module, you have learned about the French school system, the French High School schedule, and school supplies.

In addition, you have learned how to describe many objects using colors and adjectives. You have also learned about the numbers 40 through 59 and how to tell time in French.

Finally, you explored the country and people of France. France is a modernized country with a well-developed transportation system. France has a long history and much of that history is preserved in the variety of buildings viewed throughout the country.

Remember to add new words to your French Vocabulary Organization System that you previously set up in this course.

Extend Your Learning

In this module there was an assignment that required you to create a map that labeled items in a classroom. Why not try labeling your own bedroom or areas of your home with the correct French words? Another way to immerse yourself in the French language is to change your Internet browser, phone, or mobile device to French. See how much you can read and comprehend.
