Three-Dimensional Figures Workbook

Three-dimensional figures are everywhere. In this assignment, your task is to find practical examples of three-dimensional figures. You can take photographs, find images online, or sketch the images on your own to create a workbook. Your workbook will also contain a geometry problem with the correct solutions. Your workbook must contain the following:

• a cover-page;
• a labeled image of the each of the following three-dimensional figures in the real-world:
  • cone,
  • cylinder,
  • prism,
  • pyramid,
  • sphere, and
  • composite solid;
• a geometry word problem that determines the lateral area, surface area, and volume for each example; and
• the correct solution to each word problem that shows all of the work required to solve the problem.

Your assignment should be creative and informative. Before you begin, review the Three-Dimensional Figures Workbook Checklist to make sure that you include all of the items required for full credit.
