Your body is a high performance machine, and in this module, you will learn you how your body, like a car, is made of several complex parts (organs) that are grouped into systems; each component affects the others. An organ is a somewhat independent body part that performs special jobs or functions. A system is a collection of organs working together on a common bodily function. You are going to explore these organs and systems, learn their roles, and discover how nutrition and activity influence their function. Activity takes several forms, so in this module, you will learn different activities -- games, sports, rhythmic movement, and recreational activities -- that can help you get your heart pumping and your body in tip-top condition. Like a car that needs regular maintenance and tune-ups, your body needs the same attention.
