Do you feel like there are too many pressures and demands on you? Are you losing sleep worrying about tests and school work? Do you eat on the run because your schedule is just too busy? Have you been arguing with friends and family members? Many teenagers deal with similar issues that can really put a strain on their mental health, which affects their overall health.

In this module, you will learn about stress and distress, time management, and conflict resolution. You will also explore ways to reduce your stress levels through various exercises. After this module, you will be equipped with the knowledge of how to deal with and reduce the stress in your life.

Getting Started

Fitness Log IconStressed studentHow is your current stress level? Before you begin this module, take some time to reflect about your current level of stress. Try to identify your sources of stress and ways you can reduce it. It may help to consider the following questions during your reflection:

  • Do you always feel rushed and tired?
  • Do you feel that you do not have enough time do everything?
  • Do you feel comfortable with the time you have to complete all that you need to do?
  • Does your school work, extra-curricular activities, or after-school job take up all of your time?
  • What can you do to reduce your level of stress?
