Lifelong Health and Wellness

young girl with elder family memberDuring this module you learned that it is important for you to take steps now—and throughout the rest of your life—to ensure that you stay as healthy as you can, for as long as you can. If you develop healthy habits during your teenage years, you will have an easier time maintaining those habits later on in life.

Part of maintaining lifelong health involves eating a healthy diet that provides you with all the amino acids, minerals, vitamins, and other nutrients that you need to ward off cancer and diseases. Going hand in hand with diet, remember to get regular physical exercise, fueled by restful and adequate sleep. Take that extra moment to apply sunscreen or rest your eyes from using a computer screen. It is the culmination of small steps that you take every day that will add up to worthwhile benefits later down the road.
