Population Demographics
GEOTREX Microblog
GEOTREX uses microposts to keep its social media followers informed and engaged. A micropost is a mini-blog post that is limited to 140 characters. Companies, celebrities, and politicians use microposts to keep followers up to date on important events and news. Anyone can create a micropost account to communicate about their life. GEOTREX has asked you to research and write five microposts about population demographics. The company will share them on its social media platform.
A sample set of two microposts about cultural geography, the focus of this module, are shown below:
93% of Ecuadorians speak Spanish, much more than the 13% in the U.S. – I need to learn more if I’m going to visit!
Many people know Judaism is the main religion practiced in Israel, but did you know Israeli citizens are also Muslim, Christian, and Druze?
For this assignment, you will create a collection of five microposts. They should share information about population demographic trends in four countries: Afghanistan, Switzerland, the United States, and one country of your choice. Your country of choice needs to come from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, or South America. The country you choose may be in a different stage of economic or political development. As you research information to include in your microposts, you will also analyze trends provided by the data.
