Sub-Saharan Africa contains physical beauty, unique wildlife species, and diverse cultures. Ethiopia and Kenya have large populations. Ethiopia is landlocked, but other Sub-Saharan countries lie along the coasts of the Red Sea and Indian Ocean. You also explored the industries, populations, politics, and history of East and Southern Africa. Countries in these regions have dealt with political unrest, famine, and war since gaining independence. Some of these challenges stem from years of colonialism. These nations are slowly making progress toward greater stability. However, they are among the poorest in the world.
