Panchayatana puja. Ganesha is in the center, and going
clockwise, the gods are Devi, Surya, Vishnu, and Shiva.
Throughout this course, you will learn about five major religions, as well as several other smaller religions practiced by people throughout human civilization. In this topic, you explored the religions founded in India, Hinduism and Buddhism. Using the World Religions Chart found in the Student Resources section of this course, complete the fifth and sixth rows of the chart with the information that you now know about Hinduism and Buddhism. Be sure you completely fill out each cell with as much detail as possible. Keep this chart handy as you complete the course, because you will continue to enter data as you learn about different religions.

Take a moment to review the KWL chart you began for the warm-up activity. Then complete the final column, "What I Have Learned about Hinduism and Buddhism." List two facts about Hinduism, two facts about Buddhism, and two facts that compare and/or contrast the religions. Compare this column of the chart to the one titled "What I Want to Know about Hinduism and Buddhism." Reflect on whether you learned everything about these two eastern religions that you had hoped.
