Ancient Rome

Ancient Rome Movie Trailer

If you have ever been to a movie theater, then you know that most movies do not start at the time posted by the cinema. Instead, the start time indicates when the movie theater will begin to show a set of previews for other movies, or movie trailers. Movie trailers are digital advertisements for upcoming movies. Movie production companies release these movie trailers on social media websites, in theaters, and on television.

For this assignment, you will need to reflect on Rome's history, geography, and contributions to create a one-to-two minute movie trailer for a movie about ancient Rome. Remember, not all movies are the same genre; there are action-adventure movies, comedies, science-fiction movies, mysteries, romances, horror films, and dramas, to name a few. You should pick the genre that most appeals to you and design your trailer for a movie that you would like to see.

Your movie trailer should include at least five facts or historical events from this module. It should be well-organized, creative, and interesting. Instead of just presenting the information or facts in video form, your movie trailer should entice people to see the movie. You should use images, music, animations, real video footage, or other digital assets to compile your movie trailer. Be sure to include a title for your movie.

In addition to your video file, submit a storyboard of your movie trailer. You may create your own storyboard design, or you may use the Ancient Rome Movie Trailer Storyboard Template. Use the video creation information found in the Submitting Assignments link on the Student Resources section to help you create the movie trailer. Before you begin, access the Ancient Rome Movie Trailer Rubric to be sure you include all of the items required for full credit. You will need to use resources outside of this course to complete this assignment. Please submit a Work Cited document. If you need assistance, please visit the Student Resources section for information on citing any resources that you use.
