The Roman Empire Acrostic Poem

An oil painting of The Murder of Caesar by Karl von Piloty, 1865
Now that you have learned about the decline of the Roman Republic and the events leading to the Roman Empire, create an acrostic poem to warn others about the precarious situation of the time period. An acrostic poem uses the first letter of each line to spell out a word or a message pertaining to a theme.
The following is an example of an acrostic poem using the word MARCH.
Many felt Julius Caesar was too powerful
Aristocrats spoke with Senators
Roman Senators conspired against Caesar
Caesar was assassinated on the Ides
He named Octavian as heir for the dictatorship
Using the Acrostic Word Template with the words THE ROMAN EMPIRE, write an acrostic poem that describes some of the concepts you learned about in this topic. Use creativity and be sure your poem makes sense and includes descriptive details.
