Factoring Polynomials
In order to factor a polynomial completely, you must represent it as a product of its prime factors. In your earlier math courses, you may have used factor trees in order to factor integers completely. Remember, when using factor trees, you may begin with any two factors. Just make sure to continue to factor each number until only prime numbers remain, as shown in the image on the left.
