designerGraphic Organizer iconIn the Internet age, many people with access to technology use online encyclopedia websites to gather information or learn facts about historical figures or events. In this assignment, you will use the Online Encyclopedia Entry Template to create an online encyclopedia entry about one of the following constellations:

  • Crux
  • Orion
  • Ursa Major
  • Ursa Minor
  • A constellation of your choice

The template provides areas for you to include all of the facts about the constellation. In your entry, you will need to include the following information:

  • The name of the constellation entry page
  • The history of the constellation (i.e. who named it)
  • The location of the constellation
  • Where it is visible
  • Any important stars included as part of the constellation
  • Any significance it has to navigation or another field
  • Two relevant images

Before you begin, download the Online Encyclopedia Entry Checklist so that you know what items you need to include in your entry for full credit. You may need to conduct research using resources outside of this course to complete the entry, so please submit a Works Cited document with your assignment. If you need assistance, visit the Developmental Module for information on citing any resources that you use.
