International Space StationOne of the greatest projects in modern astronomy is the United States' collaboration with other countries to build a permanent habitat in space. This was accomplished with the construction of the International Space Station, or ISS. The International Space Station is constructed of many different sections that are launched and then attached in space. The project began in 1998 and has been occupied by inhabitants for more than twelve years. The International Space Station is viewed by many astronomers as the greatest human accomplishment in modern astronomy.

    • Live Data: This options allows you to find out what crew members are doing, as well as what their future schedule is. In addition, you can view a live video feed of the ISS.
    • Interact: This option allows you to explore the creation and functionality of the ISS. Watch the ISS's construction, tour Mission Control, and find the current position of the ISS.
