Other Stoichiometry Variations - Gas Volumes, Density, Molarity

How can conversions be made involving volumes of gases in a reaction? What are standard temperature and pressure conditions? In this topic, you learned that mole ratios can be used to convert between grams of two different substances in a chemical reaction. At standard conditions, mole ratios can also be used to convert between volumes of gases at standard conditions using Avogadro’s Principle. According to Avogadro’s Principle, at the same temperature and pressure, equal amounts of gases occupy the same volume. At standard conditions, 0°C and 1 atmosphere of pressure, that volume is 22.4 liters. The easiest way to solve problem with variation was to set-up dimensional analysis using the conditions at STP.
