The Ideal Gas Law was first written in 1834 by Emil Clapeyron. This law uses the other gas laws in its derivation. The relationships, either direct or inverse, are maintained in this equation. Also, this law uses a new constant, R. This formula will not use subscripts such as initial1 and final2. Instead, it addresses a single sample of gas with all other conditions held constant. View this presentation to learn how to use the equation associated with the Ideal Gas Law.
