When it comes to determining your class grade, do your teachers just average your test scores to come up with a number? Hopefully not! Your teacher probably averages all of your work including homework, class work, quizzes, projects, and class participation as well as tests to come up with your final grade.
Guess what? The major credit agencies use a similar process to determine your creditworthiness. They examine a variety of factors in order to come up with your credit score, which is the final number that companies use to evaluate the risk involved in extending you credit.
Suppose you work for a bank and are responsible for determining whether you should give someone credit. Create a list of the top three questions you would ask prospective borrowers and post them to the discussion board. Make sure to explain why you think these three questions are important in determining whether or not a potential customer is a good credit risk. Be sure to re-visit the discussion board to see how your classmates responded.
