
While  fiction makes for great entertainment, reading nonfiction can be much more  impactful, as it relates the true stories of real events as they happened to  real people. The information presented in a piece of nonfiction is no longer  fantastical or a part of the author’s imagination. These events really  happened, which means they could happen again, maybe even to you.
    In  this topic, you will read several different examples of nonfiction literature  about floods and other weather-related phenomena. You will explore the  characteristics and elements of nonfiction literature, while noting how these  literary works differ from the fictional stories from the previous topic.
