Reflection
Throughout the module, you have read about and reflected on the archetypal tragic hero and the rich language of the Ibo. In this assessment, you were given the opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of the tragic hero, Okonkwo, as well as proverbs used not only in the Ibo culture but also in various cultures throughout the world. Take a few moments to reflect upon the following questions, making sure to answer each one.
- What did you learn about Okonkwo as you looked at the different aspects of his character?
- What did you learn about the use of proverbs in your own culture and others?
- How did looking closely at a character who is one way on the outside and very different internally affect you as a reader and as a person?
- What appreciation of language can you take from your study of proverbs?
- How will this study of language change the way you read other pieces of literature?

Once you have completed your scrapbook, please submit your assignment and reflection to the dropbox.
