Things Fall Apart, Chapters Six, Seven, and Eight

Artist IconPaint SpillingChapters Six, Seven, and Eight are very important chapters in the development of Okonkwo as a tragic hero. In these chapters, you see Okonkwo’s unreasonable actions based on his flawed fear of being like his father, his drastic decision made because of that fear, and the start of his gradual downfall.

Using your knowledge of the tragic hero, create a comic strip representing the key scenes in these three chapters that directly relate to Okonkwo’s downfall. Your comic strip must contain a minimum of five panels. Each panel must have artwork showing the event and a quote from the novel at that point. Choose your quotes wisely; they will demonstrate your understanding of Okonkwo as a tragic hero. Make sure that your comic is well-organized, and legible.
