Things Fall Apart, Chapters Eleven, Twelve, and Thirteen

GunOkonkwo has reached the point of no return. His error in judgment returns to haunt him as he accidentally kills the son of the man who warned him to have no part in Ikemefuna’s death. His tragic flaw—fear of being like his father—would not allow him to stand back and have others do the deed. This disobedience, in refusing to listen has now caused his ultimate downfall: the destruction of his compound and exile of his family. From this point forward, Okonkwo's life will be marked with anguish and suffering.
