Things Fall Apart, Chapters Seventeen, Eighteen, and Nineteen

Venn diagramGraphic organizer iconAlthough at times Okonkwo and Nwoye seem as different as night and day, there are points in Okonkwo’s downward spiral when he is not the strong, fearless warrior and farmer he seems to be. Using the information you learned in this topic, construct a Venn diagram to compare and contrast Okonkwo and Nwoye.

Your diagram should include two circles that overlap in the middle and are labeled with the names Okonkwo and Nwoye, respectively. Please look at the image on this page for an example.

For each character’s individual circle, list five unique characteristics. Then, list three characteristics that the two characters share in the area in which the circles overlap. Make sure the information included in the Venn diagram is accurate according to the novel and individual characters.
