The Rough Draft

boy typingThere you have it—the first draft of your paper is complete. In the process of preparing and writing your rough draft, you may have realized the importance of all the previous steps: deciding on a specific topic, researching information, finding useful sources for support of your opinion, and outlining your ideas. The rough draft is in many ways just as important as the final paper that you will submit to your instructor as it is the document that you will revise based on your own editing and comments from your peers and instructor.

As you move on to prepare the final version of your persuasive research paper, remember to take into account the comments you have received as well as your own feelings about the effectiveness of your paper.
