Now that you have studied several different literary genres, it is time for you to show how much you know about them through this course culminating assignment. For this assignment, you get to design your own project to demonstrate your knowledge about genres. In your project, you must include information or references to each of the literary genres that you studied in this course, including short stories, novels, poetry, epics, dramas, and nonfiction.
You will begin by coming up with an idea for your project. Provided below are a few examples of project ideas. You may use one of these ideas, or create your project:
Next, you will need to get approval from your instructor using the Genre Proposal Template. On this template, you will be asked to complete the following questions.
Once you have completed your Genre Project Proposal, please submit it to the dropbox. Before you move forward with your project, please wait for approval from your instructor.
After you have received approval from your instructor, it is time to complete your project based on your responses in the Genre Project Proposal Template. No matter which project you choose, you will need to make sure that the information conveyed through your project is accurate, that your project is organized and well-designed, and that it is free from spelling or grammar errors.
Before you begin the project process, access the Genre Project Rubric to make sure you have included all of the needed items required for full credit. You may need to use resources outside of this course to complete this assignment. If so, please submit a Works Cited document. If you need assistance, visit the Developmental Module for information on citing any resources that you use.
