Module 6: On y va?
Imagine you are a tour guide in your city. As your job, you ride around on a bus and tell people about the area. You are such an expert at your job that a big company has contacted you to create the audio recording for an application that people can use on their cell phones, which will guide them through the city without having to hire an actual tour guide. The app will speak to users about buildings they see, including the actual names of those buildings. For example, you may want to inform users that, "The park is called Northside," or "Le parc s'appelle Northside." To give users a good experience, make sure you include vocabulary terms and specific names of at least ten buildings or sites in your city. In addition, use the word aller throughout the tour so that users know where they are going, where they have been, and where they will not go.
Your audio recording should be completely in French. Make sure you speak clearly, fluently, and with correct French pronunciations. Use the audio information found in the Developmental Module to help you create your audio recording of the tour. In addition, please provide a transcript of your conversation, and highlight each of the vocabulary words or phrases from this topic that you incorporated.
Before you begin, access the All About Town Checklist to make sure you include all items required for full credit.
Once you have completed your audio-recorded application and transcript, please submit both items to the dropbox.
