The Caribbean
During the Age of Colonization, French influence extended far beyond Canada and the Americas. It had its beginnings in the islands of the Caribbean with the discovery of the cash crop, sugar cane. In this topic, you will also become acquainted with the French influence on the independent nation of Haiti.
