Applying Properties of Trapezoids and Isosceles Trapezoids

The largest group of quadrilaterals is parallelograms. Remember, parallelograms are four-sided figures with straight sides where opposite sides are parallel. Trapezoids are another group of quadrilaterals. Trapezoids are four-sided figures with only one pair of parallel sides. An isosceles trapezoid forms when both angles coming from a parallel side are equal and the non-parallel sides are equal in length.
