Designing the Chassis: Muscles

Skeletal muscles are attached to…you guessed it, the skeleton. There are three types of muscles: cardiac, smooth, and skeletal. While the other two muscles control involuntary actions, the skeletal muscles control voluntary actions, like throwing a ball or walking. Skeletal muscles are responsible for making your limbs move. Without these muscles, you would not be able to make your body, your machine, move from one place to another.

In this topic, you will take a closer look at these muscles and how they connect to the skeleton to give your body motion.
