URL IconAn example of how the USDA promotes nutrition is the USDA Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion’s dietary guideline known as MyPlate. In 2011, the U.S. Department of Agriculture introduced MyPlate, a visual aid to accompany the food pyramid in helping Americans eat healthy foods. The colors and partitions on MyPlate correspond to those of the food pyramid. You can develop proper eating habits using the food pyramid and MyPlate as your guides.
