Think of a time when you felt really anxious. Perhaps it was when you were getting ready to take a big test or speaking with someone you had a crush on. Now list all of the symptoms you remember feeling at that moment.
Notice that you experienced both physical and psychological symptoms. You might have listed items like upset stomach, sweaty palms, worry, or muscle tightness. Imagine if these uncomfortable symptoms became persistent and chronic like people who undergo anxiety disorders.
