President Kennedy and the New Frontier
During a time of civil unrest, America experienced one of the nation’s greatest leaders in action. President John F. Kennedy dealt with the turmoil that existed between the United States and the Soviet Union, which included the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Bay of Pigs, and the Space Race. President Kennedy was able to easily connect with the American public, particularly through his support of the Civil Rights Movement. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963 was a sad time for the nation. Although he did not serve his full term, he is still recognized as one of the most beloved presidents in United States history.
