The Collapse of Communism
During the Reagan administration, the collapse of communism in the Soviet Union occurred. This collapse took place because of internal conflicts within the Soviet Union and because of the actions of the United States during the Reagan administration.
In this assignment, you will create a T-chart that lists the internal issues facing the Soviet Union, and the actions taken by the United States that contributed to the collapse of communism. T-charts are a type of chart, or graphic organizer that is used to examine two aspects of a topic. For example, T-charts can be used to list the advantages and disadvantages of a topic, or the chart can list things like facts versus opinions.
Create a T-chart like the one shown in the image. Your chart should have the two headings, “Internal Issues” and “Actions of the United States.” List at least five “Internal Issues" that occurred in the Soviet Union, and three “Actions of the United States” that caused the collapse of the Soviet Union.
