The Articles of Confederation
Leaders are people who help themselves and others do the right things. A proper leader can set direction, build upon an inspiring vision, and create something new. The leaders of the United States in the mid-to-late 1770s had to set the direction of an entirely new nation. These leaders were responsible for creating the foundation of the United States.
What if the early leaders of the United States did not listen to the people they represented? Has this ever happened to you? Have you ever found yourself in a situation where a leader of your group took over and did not allow you to have any say in important decisions? How did this make you feel? What actions did you take in order to be heard?
