The Renaissance Venn Diagram

Using the information about the geography, languages, contributions, and people of the Italian Renaissance and Northern Renaissance, complete theĀ Italian Renaissance and Northern Renaissance Venn Diagram Template. Consisting of two interlocking circles with a shared space in the middle, Venn diagrams are used to show relationships between two or more concepts. This diagram will help you organize your thoughts and make comparisons between the two movements. It may be helpful to consider the following questions:
- Where was each of the movements primarily located?
- Which languages did each movement use?
- Who were some of the most famous artists and writers in each movement?
- What schools of thought were present in each movement?
- How were the movements funded?
To begin, label each of the circles with the name of one of the Renaissance movements. Next, in each movement’s individual circle, list four to five unique characteristics that pertain to that movement only. Then, list at least two characteristics that these two movements share in the area in which the circles overlap. If you need assistance, access information about Venn diagrams provided in the Student Resources section.
