Model of the "Newest Rome"

What factors contributed to Rome becoming such a big influence on the Byzantine Empire and Eastern Europe? In this module, you heard Constantinople referred to as the "New Rome," and Russia referred to as the "Third Rome." For this assignment, develop the "Newest Rome" by designing an original city, in a modern-day context, that is influenced by Rome, Constantinople, and Russia. Produce a model of your city that depicts the following:

In addition to producing a model of the "Newest Rome," include a legend that labels each part of the city, as well as a written explanation of how each element within your city was influenced by Rome, Constantinople, or Russia.

Options to create your "Newest Rome" model include the following:

  1. Build a model out of clay, recyclable materials, household items, or crafting items and then take a picture of it for submission into the assignment's dropbox.
  2. Use a paint, graphics, word processing, or other type of software to design a model of the city, and then submit it into the assignment's dropbox.
  3. Use three-dimensional modeling software or a mobile application to create the model, and then submit it to the assignment's dropbox.
