Nationalism and Revolutions

Image of fireworksPride in one’s country and heritage was a serious matter for both Italians and Germans during the 1800s. It inspired nationalistic feelings which were a strong motivation for these two countries to unify. In fact, the Italian national anthem was written during their struggle to unify and achieve independence and was very popular at the time.
