Rise of Totalitarian Leaders

Often, the average citizens in their countries had no say over whether or not they wanted these totalitarian leaders to lead, and had no say in any of the policies that they enacted. In the United States, adults over the age of eighteen can vote in local, state, and national elections to choose leadership and to pass pieces of legislation.
