Eclipses

lunar eclipseurl iconDo you want to find out when the next lunar eclipse might happen near you? Visit NASA's Javascript Lunar Eclipse Explorer for North America. Once there, follow these directions:

  • SECTION 1: Scroll down the webpage and choose the city closest to you in the dropdown menu.
  • SECTION 2: Choose all eclipses.
  • SECTION 3: Choose 2001-2100 for the century.
  • SECTION 4: A chart will appear. View the next available date in the first column and determine if it is a total or partial eclipse by looking for a T (for total) or P (for partial) in the second column.

Record when the next partial and total lunar eclipse will take place. Mark your calendar to go outside and watch!
