Cell Theory Timeline
After Robert Hooke discovered cells in a slice of cork, other scientists were determined to build more powerful microscopes in an effort to learn more. In this topic, you have investigated the discovery of the cell and the advancement of the cell theory by scientists such as Anton van Leeuwenhoek, Matthias Schleiden, Theodore Schwann, and Robert Virchow. In this assignment, you will create a visual timeline of the development of the cell theory.
The development of the cell theory was marked by a few key developments and discoveries. Your timeline must include a visual representation of the following events:
When you create your timeline, include a picture for each event, the date the events occurred, and a few sentences explaining why the event is important to cell theory. Before you begin, review the Cell Theory Checklist to make sure that you include all of the items required for full credit.
