The Role of Incentives

When you are deciding what career you want to enter, you must consider the things you like to do.  Suppose you are offered a job working outside all day long every day.  If you enjoy being outside and really don’t like sitting at a desk all day, this would be a positive incentive for you.  If, however, you have bad allergies and can’t stand to be outside when it is raining or cold, then working outside all day would be a negative incentive for you.

Get some paper and draw a T-Chart like the one pictured to help you categorize the incentives below as either positive or negative.
