Help WantedThinking about the future and defining your career path are very important. Although you may change your mind, it is good to have goals and keep working towards those goals. In order to work towards a career, you need to know what training and education you will need to fulfill the career in the future.

In this assessment, you will research any job that could be a potential career for you. You may want to research careers based on your likes.

Use the information from the Bureau of Labor Statistics site for your career selection to answer the following questions found on the Potential Career Research Template. In the template, answer all of the questions in the blank spaces provided.

  • Career: What is the name of the career?
  • Training and Education Needed: What type of degree do you need to have? How many years of postsecondary education do you need? Do you receive on the job training?
  • Job Tasks: What are the five major tasks that you are expected to do?
  • Earnings: What is the average yearly wage? Or what is the average pay per hour?
  • Job Outlook: What is the expected percentage of job growth? What types of positions in that profession will be available in the future?

You will need to use resources outside of this course to complete this assignment, so please submit a Works Cited document with your assignment submission. If you need assistance, visit the Developmental Module for information on citing any resources that you used.
