Introduction to Persuasion

To effectively persuade, you must have a purpose, know your audience, and include the elements of rhetoric: ethos, pathos, and logos.  Incorporating these elements will produce an ethically persuasive writing or speech. When writing a persuasive essay, you must first come up with a topic or thesis statement. When researching this topic, make sure you also research the opposing views and appeals to those views.
