It is time to begin creating a formal outline for your research paper. You may choose either a topic outline or a sentence outline, but remember to use an alphanumeric format. The introduction section should include the hook of your paper as well as your thesis statement. Feel free to use information from your research as part of your hook. For the body paragraphs of your outline, organize your main ideas in the most logical and effective order. Ultimately, your concluding paragraph will encompass more than just your takeaway, but for now you can plan whether you want to leave your reader with a call to action, an important lesson, or a connection that makes your thesis relevant.
Before you begin, review the Formal Outline Checklist to make sure that you include all of the items required for full credit.
Once you have completed your formal outline, please submit your work to the dropbox.
